Art.Music.Talent

Where can I find art to capture? I look no further than a few feet in front of me.  My son sits playing his guitar ... not any guitar ... his grandfather's.  Robert was a true friend, a great mentor and fantastic grandfather to Tristin.  It's amazing how even when someone passes they are never REALLY gone!  Robert is every bit a part of who Tristin is; his talents, his body shape, his sense of humor, even the way Tristin spells words (yep, he makes up his own way to spell even the simplest things - probably needs an extra english class - we will get to that another day).  But I am thankful!  All of these things that Robert leaves behind are what makes my son a great man!  Robert will forever be missed and always be loved!

Scott+Jackie+Connor {happy.fun.generous}

You would have thought that this father was an aspiring photographer ... okay maybe an aspiring location scout! He drove me to hidden places (yep, I told him I like to shoot anywhere but the hot spots) and he took me very serious.  I probably should have paid attention to direction but I was busy in the back seat scanning through all the photos from the previous location (I usually don't get to do this until my sessions are over  I.LOVED.IT)

Connor is a busy boy with a lot of spunk.  He may not have looked at me as much as his parents may hope when trying to find the perfect framed photo, but certainly he was true to himself ... silly & spunky :)  MY FAVORITE KIND OF PHOTO!

Preserving A Memory ...

What a job!  I meet new people, I see children play and I forever freeze moments in time.  Today I captured another lost tooth, a little girl celebrating her 5th birthday, dad playing, mom cuddling and an amazing family touring a historic site.  Thank you Wittman family for allowing me to meet and photograph you all!

Graduating to the next part of life ...

There are so many things that we look forward to in life.  Each seems as important as the next, but graduating is truly a next level to all things.  We leave behind childhood, we gain independence, and we make our path to our future.  This young lady has accomplished all of those things and more.  What a pleasure it was to photograph this exciting moment.  She has ambition, she has dreams and importantly she has DRIVE!  Congratulations Cortney, you will do wonderful things! 2012

How time flies ...

I wonder where the years have gone ... how this child could quickly turn into a man ... how the hospital failed to give me a time saving machine the day he was born ... thankfully my camera has captured moments in the last 16 years that I would never have been able to relive.  I flip through the photos like I am seeing them for the first time again.  He comes to me now excited about what courses he is thinking of taking after high school ... what happened to him running around the house in a pair of snow boots and a plastic golf club in his belt loop?  I am thankful for film ... I am thankful for my camera ... I am thankful for him!!!!

Loving my artsy side :)

Is it that I have time on my hands now that the kids are back in school or a desire to make art?  I can't get enough!  Everything I see is a art.  I look at things through a lens, even when mine isn't in my hands.  I always want to go outside of the box, try something new, create something.  I have done 13 years as a digital artist, with web design, graphic design, product packaging design ... but THIS. IS. WHAT. I. LOVE.  I like making photos!

To schedule your photo session please email info@staciejensenphotography.com or call 734.756.2130

Families Are A Blessing!

It's amazing to see a family this close.  Two gorgeous people made three equally beautiful children ... we are a lucky world!  They were absolutely fun and spontaneous.  This makes my job easy!!!

High School Photos

High School is a special time in life.  You gain your identity, you learn to drive, some even vote ... everyone deserves to capture this moment.  I had the pleasure this late summer to capture Jayne and Weston.  A fun couple willing to play up to my camera!
